Black seeds, scientifically known as Nigella sativa is a medicinal plant that people have been using for over 1500 years in India. Black seeds are used as a spice and are commonly called kalonji – or black onion seeds. How to use black seed oil for piles?

Drink half teaspoon (2.5ml) of black seed oil morning and evening. This is usually the recommended dosage of black seed oil for piles. Still, you must talk to a specialist or a physician for individual conditions. 

Black seed oil can be applied directly to the affected area using a cotton swab. Kalonji can also be eaten raw, added to dishes or mixed with honey or water

  • Black seed oil and vinegar:

Constipation is the real cause of piles. Hence, to avoid constipation, add half teaspoon of black seed oil with black tea decoction and drink this solution twice a day.

Topical use of black seed or black seed oil may cause skin rashes or allergy ( which is very rare). Therefore, test it before you apply it over the affected area. 

Black seed or black seed extracts may have other side effects such as low blood sugar, decreased blood coagulation, decreased blood pressure, and digestive issues especially for those who undergo surgery. Consuming black seeds oil may result in blood clots and reduce blood sugar. You must stop the consumption of black seed before two weeks of the surgery. Talk to your healthcare provider for further questions. 

People with bleeding disorders, diabetes, and hypotension should avoid using black seed oil or black seed in any other form. It may have hypoglycemic and sedative effects and increase the risk of bleeding.
