• Technology Used- One of the main reasons Contoura Vision is more expensive is the technology used. It requires specialized equipment that has advanced features like computerized eye movement tracking, cyclorotation compensation, active centration control, visual axis treatment, and corneal irregularity correction. As the machine costs more, so does the procedure. 
• Choice of Hospital- A hospital that has a higher number of patients is likely to charge a reasonable amount for the procedure. In comparison to this, if a hospital has a smaller patient base, they might charge more for the procedure to cover the equipment cost. 
• Pre and Post-Operative Examinations– Before recommending Contoura Vision to the patient, the surgeon performs several examinations, such as visual acuity tests, Pentacam tests, eye pressure tests, retinal tests, etc., to ensure that it is safe for the patient to get the surgery done.
