There are 3 types of material most often used for dental implants.
- Endosteal implants: The most popular implants today are endosteal implants (also known as root form implants). They are composed of alloplastic material, which is synthetic tissue, tiny screws, and titanium. Endosteal implants are surgically placed in the jawbone. The implants eventually bond with the bone's tissue over time. The cost of endosteal implants ranges between INR 30,000 to INR 50,000 in Delhi.
- Subperiosteal implants: They are recommended to individuals whose natural jawbones are not strong enough to sustain implants. A subperiosteal implant is positioned either on or above the jawbone beneath the gums. Unlike other types, it isn't surgically inserted into the jawbone. The cost of Subperiosteal implants lies between the range of INR 30,000 to INR 65,000 in Delhi.
- Zygomatic implants: Zygomatic implants are rarely utilized since they are only suitable for those who have inadequate maxillary jaw bones. The implant is affixed to the zygomatic bone, also known as the cheekbone, rather than the maxillary bone. Single zygomatic implants can cost between INR 50,000 to INR 90,000 but doctors usually recommend zygomatic implants for complete arch treatment, which can range between INR 3,00,000 to INR 7,00,000 per jaw in Delhi.
